Social Security Under Threat.. Where is the Government?

Tense positions and a war of statements continue between the "Free Patriotic Movement" and the caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, in the absence of efforts to calm tensions, while the Lebanese are preoccupied with the banks' strike starting today. The Association of Banks has decided to continue the strike, leaving it to the general assembly, which will convene this Wednesday, to decide on the appropriate steps to protect its interests and those of the rights holders associated with it, including employees, depositors, shareholders, and others. Therefore, Wednesday will be a normal working day in the banking sector, according to the association's statement. Meanwhile, thirty-one prisoners managed to escape from the Palace of Justice prison, located in one of the most security-sensitive areas in Beirut, raising questions about how the escape was successful and further jeopardizing the overall social security situation, making it evident to question where the government is.
