The captain of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Salah, revealed that his daughter Mecca is optimistic about the Pharaohs winning against Senegal in the African Cup of Nations final, which will take place this evening, Sunday. Salah stated at a press conference the evening before the highly anticipated final in the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé: "Mecca wants me to come home quickly because I am very close to her, but she knows I am with the national team." He added: "Mecca wanted to come here (to Cameroon), but the long travel hours prevented the family from coming. However, Mecca called me and prayed for us to win the championship." He concluded: "As long as Mecca prays for us, God willing we will win." Egypt aims to seize its eighth continental title in history, while Senegal seeks to secure its first title in its history with a legendary football generation led by star Sadio Mané.
