A circular infinity pool in Dubai has achieved a Guinness World Record for the highest pool in the world. If you suffer from a fear of heights, this may not be the best choice for you. The open-air pool is located on the roof of a skyscraper in the Arab Financial Center at a height of 965 feet above the ground on the 77th floor of the Address Beach Resort in Dubai. The hotel opened in December, and the pool received the award for "Highest Outdoor Infinity Pool in a Building" earlier this month, according to The Sun and reported by Al Arabiya.net.
The total area of the pool is approximately 560 square meters, with a length of 75 meters. It also features a spacious sunbathing area with wet beds and stunning views of the city. Due to the significant height, access to the pool is not allowed for anyone under 21 years old.
The demand for swimming among the clouds appears to be growing, as this Dubai pool follows the construction of several floating pools atop skyscrapers. Another infinity pool opened in London in 2019, and another pool is set to open next month suspended between two residential buildings at a height of 55 stories with a fully glass bottom. Previously, the highest infinity pool in the world was in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands, which is equivalent in size to three Olympic swimming pools.
