Macron Sworn in as President for a Second Term

Emmanuel Macron has been sworn in as President of France for a second five-year term at the Élysée Palace after winning against right-wing candidate Marine Le Pen. In a brief speech, the French president called for "unyielding action" to make France "more independent." He pledged to continue working to make France and Europe stronger. Macron stated, "We aim to strengthen the capabilities of the French army during the upcoming phase."
