"Iranians Tried to Sell Me": Video of a Girl Jumping from the 8th Floor

A 19-year-old woman jumped from the eighth floor after being kidnapped and held hostage in Antalya, Turkey, resulting in severe injuries, according to a video shared by Turkish activists. The details indicate that the girl named Shirin jumped from a high window, 10 meters above the street, landing on a parked car and then onto a concrete sidewalk, as reported by the Turkish newspaper "Cumhuriyet."

The video shows the young woman attempting to jump, lowering her feet from the window before leaping recklessly, while several passersby rushed to help and called for an ambulance. The girl claimed that she had been forcibly held captive, stating that she was a hostage of people from Iran who attempted to sell her.

She further expressed her agony on the ground, saying, "Help me, I was kidnapped. They kidnapped me and took me hostage; they came from Iran." She added, "These are organizations. They tried to sell me. Things like this have happened to me my whole life. I did not realize how serious the situation was. They recorded it on camera."

The girl also explained that she had been tortured since childhood, continuing her speech in a delirious manner, "This means that women think about certain things, but they remain silent. I have learned everything. Girls are afraid. The situation is very serious. It would have been better if I had died. I did not want to be with him."

One witness named Shahin Edeli, who recorded the girl with his mobile phone as she fell, stated, "I was sitting in the kitchen. The voices started to escalate. I immediately went to the window. The woman was screaming, I want to die." Meanwhile, Turkish authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to examine its circumstances and determine what occurred.
