The Jordanian royal court announced on Tuesday the successful surgery undergone by King Abdullah II to treat a herniated disc in the thoracic spine area. The statement clarified that King Abdullah II will rest following the surgery performed at a specialized hospital in Frankfurt, Germany, based on medical advice, before returning to Jordan. The royal court had previously announced on Saturday that the Jordanian monarch would travel to Germany for surgery to address pain he had been experiencing during his service in the special forces. The 60-year-old king had intermittently suffered from this spinal pain due to parachuting during his years in special operations.
