US Arrests Pilot Linked to Attack in Syria

The US Air Force announced that a member of its personnel was detained in connection with an attack in April in Syria that resulted in injuries to four of his fellow service members. The US military initially attributed the attack, which took place at the Green Village base in eastern Syria, to indirect fire, possibly a rocket strike. Later, further investigation revealed that the explosions were the result of "intentional placement of explosive devices" in a munitions storage area and shower facility. Officials stated they are investigating the possibility of an insider attack.
