Storm Hits Barcelona: Koeman Presents a Black List of 12 Players

Barcelona's coach Ronald Koeman made intriguing statements following the team's last game of the season, predicting strong winds of change coming to the Catalan club. After the team’s victory over Eibar in the final round of the season, the Dutchman revealed his true struggles during the season, stating he worked with a team "he did not choose."

With these words, Koeman reaffirmed club president Joan Laporta's comments that "big changes are on the way" at Barcelona. According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Koeman is planning for the next season with 9 "victims," whom he expects to sell or part ways with.

These "outcast" players include Bosnian Miralem Pjanic, Frenchman Samuel Umtiti, Danish Martin Braithwaite, Brazilians Coutinho, Neto, and Matheus Fernandes, Portuguese Trincão, Dominican Junior Firpo, and Spaniard Riqui Puig.

The newspaper also reported that the club is open to selling or loaning 3 more players if satisfactory offers arrive, namely Frenchmen Clément Lenglet and Ousmane Dembélé, along with Spaniard Sergi Roberto.

Barcelona is close to finalizing the signing of Argentinian striker Sergio Agüero from Manchester City and Dutch winger Memphis Depay from French Lyon.
