Serious European Concerns and Deep Worries about Lebanon

Reliable information has revealed what senior officials from a European country conveyed to a responsible reference within the past twenty-four hours regarding serious concerns for Lebanon. The aforementioned reference was informed that: "We had hoped that the parliamentary elections in Lebanon would serve as a transitional phase towards a better reality that all Lebanese could share in reaching, but the reports we receive about developments in Lebanon have instilled in us profound concern for your country and the difficult and extremely painful reality with no limits to the suffering of the Lebanese people. This necessitates that leaders and officials in Lebanon, whether in the Parliament or at the government level, which we see as essential to be formed quickly, come together on common points through which they can save the Lebanese people from the immense suffering threatening them." Additionally, information from "Al-Joumhouria" has indicated that consultations took place in recent days among some Western diplomatic missions in Beirut. According to participating diplomatic sources, these consultations reflected a state of unease, and it was agreed to issue warnings in this regard to official and political leaders in Lebanon before it is too late.
