Musk to Lift Ban on Trump's Accounts: It Was a Big Mistake

American billionaire Elon Musk announced that he will lift the ban on former U.S. President Donald Trump's accounts on Twitter, following the completion of his $44 billion acquisition of the platform. In an interview with the Financial Times, Musk described the ban on Trump as "an unethical and stupid mistake." He added, "I don't think it was right to ban Trump; I think that was a mistake. It led to alienation of a large part of the country and ultimately did not result in silencing the former president." He noted that "this decision did not silence Trump's voice, but rather amplified his views among people on the political right."
