A captain of a Virgin Australia flight insulted a passenger over her revealing clothing and forced her to cover up, stating that he does not like tourists "who expose their bodies," according to News.com.au.
The 23-year-old passenger, Catherine Bampton, reported that while waiting to board the plane, a staff member informed her that the flight's captain refused to let her on due to her clothing. She expressed feeling humiliated at that moment, noting that other passengers "stared at her in shock." She said, "I was very shocked and surprised because my clothes were never inappropriate." The young woman was made to wear a jacket over her shoulders and was only then allowed to board the airplane. According to Russia Today, she confirmed that she will file a complaint with the airline's management and demand an apology from the pilot.
