Warnings of "Complete Collapse"

Voices in Lebanon are rising, calling for immediate and swift actions as conditions worsen on various social levels. These warnings come amid the escalation of issues across different sectors, particularly in health and living conditions, with bread being a primary concern. The Ministry of Economy announced yesterday a rise in bread prices. In a statement, the ministry indicated that “the new pricing was necessitated by the rapid increase in the dollar exchange rate, as well as the significant rise in fuel prices, which directly affect the cost of flour production, the cost of producing a loaf of bread, and transportation costs, alongside the rising price of wheat in global markets due to the Ukrainian crisis," as reported by "An-Nahar."
