The following was released by the Free Patriotic Movement: "In response to what was mentioned about the head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gebran Bassil, seeking to meet with the head of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, or anyone else, we clarify that every time the head of the Free Patriotic Movement is asked about his readiness to meet with those who disagree with him politically, he responds that he is willing to meet with anyone for the sake of the public interest. This is a point of strength and selflessness, and when he wants to request any meeting, he will not hesitate to do so openly."
