The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced today that women cannot book a permit to visit the grave of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the "Umrahna" application, as the visit is restricted to men only. Women, however, can book a permit to visit the Noble Garden in the Prophet's Mosque.
The ministry confirmed that regarding the visit to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and praying in the Noble Garden, the interval between each permit must not be less than 30 days. According to the Saudi newspaper "Okaz," the ministry revealed that there are no fixed prayer times in the Prophet's Mosque. The timings for prayers in the Noble Garden and the visit to the Prophet (peace be upon him) can be monitored continuously through the Umrahna application for booking based on availability.
The ministry emphasized that the permit must be issued from the "Umrahna" application, and the beneficiary's information must be updated in the "Absher" system, with the requirement that a “immune” status appears in the "Tawakkalna" application.
