The Mufti of the Republic of Lebanon, Sheikh Amin Al-Kurdi, delivered the Eid al-Adha sermon at Muhammad Al-Amin Mosque in downtown Beirut, leading the prayers in the presence of the caretaker Minister of Interior, Bassam Mawlawi. Al-Kurdi said, "Where is the pursuit of the murderers of President Rafik Hariri after the issuance of the international court's ruling? Where are the financial rights of the people? And where is the investigation into the Beirut port explosion?" Worshippers spread out in the areas surrounding the mosque to take part in the prayers. It is noted that the Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj at the invitation of royal protocol.
