A statement was issued by MP Adib Abd El-Masih, which stated: "Since we are in a fierce battle against time, it is time to work. In reference to what I mentioned in my electoral program regarding the establishment of a 'House of the MP' and expediting the provision of permanent water tanks in all fields and forests exposed to fires, I announce the following:
First: The election center located in Kfarhazir along the main road will be transformed into a 'House of the MP' where we will regularly meet with our people in Koura to ensure ongoing diligent work and accountability over the next four years, God willing. A program will be established to facilitate access for the people of Koura to meet with us at regular times. Additionally, I offer the 'House of the MP' for my fellow Koura MPs if they wish to engage with the citizens and communicate with them. The House of the MP is not solely for me but is for the service of all citizens without exception.
Second: I am pleased to donate my entire salary as an MP to support the forest fire reduction fund in Koura. The 'We Are All Family' Association will also work to support this fund, and everyone is invited to contribute seriously in this regard. It is central to my electoral program to work on reducing fires and ensuring preparedness within the Koura district to maintain public safety and the health of our citizens and our Koura environment. In this regard, meetings will be held with the civil defense teams in Koura to assess their needs and provide ready water sources for use when necessary, issuing an emergency preparedness plan with critical zoning.
He concluded: "The time has come to work; the time has come to change."
