This indicates that efforts might resume or that there could be a direct connection between the President of the Republic and the designated Prime Minister. The sources clarified that there have been no new exchanges of ideas or proposals regarding the formation of the government. They noted that the issue of the presidential seat has become the focal point of political movements and is likely to evolve in terms of positions and otherwise. They indicated that the involvement of Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi is aimed at reaffirming the importance of proceeding with the constitutional deadline. They pointed out that in contrast to calls for preparations for the presidential elections swiftly and before the current term ends, statements may emerge, particularly from the Free Patriotic Movement, affirming the constitutional timeframe and President Aoun's continuation in office until the last day of his term.
