Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati chaired a meeting that included the Minister of National Defense, Major General Morris Sleem, Minister of Finance Youssef Khalil, Minister of Interior and Municipalities Judge Bassam Mawlawi, Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayyad, Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, Director General of Internal Security Forces Major General Imad Othman, Director General of Oil Installations Auror Fghali, Director General of the Ministry of Finance George Maalouly, Director General of the Presidency of the Republic Antoine Chuqair, and the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Judge Mahmoud Makiyeh.
During the meeting, the issue of securing fuel for military and security forces was addressed. The Prime Minister also held a meeting with Minister of Finance Youssef Khalil to discuss the exchange rate set for imports and the confusion caused by the leak of the Prime Minister's letter directed to the Minister of Finance.
It was agreed to continue discussions to make an appropriate decision.
