Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Ankara is pursuing peace in Ukraine, contrary to certain entities that support the "war" there. In a speech during an event in Manisa, western Turkey, Erdogan said, "Two days ago I was in Ukraine, and a week ago in Sochi (Russia). Our goal is to establish global peace." He added, "We are walking this path for peace, not war, but unfortunately, there are those who are working to prolong the war in this country (Ukraine), and we know very well who they are."
Regarding domestic issues, Erdogan said, "We are determined to make Turkey one of the strongest countries in the world politically and economically based on the business and service infrastructure we have provided for our country over the past twenty years, which will last for centuries." He continued, "We have fought against dominant powers and terrorist organizations starting from the PKK to the Gülen terrorist organization, and we stood bare-chested against the coup plotters to reach today's day." He added, "We have struggled against conspiracies, traps, and international attacks and created the complete infrastructure of our country, from education and health to transportation and energy, to also reach this day."
