Jamal Suleiman Returns to the Legal Profession

The Syrian artist Jamal Suleiman revealed the features of his character in the upcoming series "Al-Tawous," expected to air next Ramadan, alongside co-star Sahar Al-Sayyagh.

In his interview with "MBC Trending," the Syrian actor stated that he portrays a lawyer for the second time in his artistic career, after his role in "Al-Fusool Al-Arba'a," which aired in 1999 where he played the character "Adel." Suleiman added that his character in "Al-Tawous" required significant effort, as it sheds broader light on the legal profession. He noted that he watched some clips on YouTube of seasoned lawyers to help him embody the character more professionally.

Jamal Suleiman explained that there is a reputable lawyer who supervised the writing of the work, and he met with him several times to discuss details about the profession and assist him in performing certain scenes. He confirmed that the work is not inspired by a true story but resembles many real-life stories, especially those of young people who increasingly consider harassment and bullying as their natural rights, deeming this behavior unacceptable.

The events of "Al-Tawous" unfold within a social thriller framework, featuring a cast that includes Syrian artists Jamal Suleiman, Sumaya Al-Ayoub, Sahar Al-Sayyagh, Ahmed Fouad Selim, Rania Mahmoud Yassin, Farah Al-Zahid, among others. The script is written by Karim Al-Dalil, supervised by Mohamed Nayir, and directed by Raouf Abdel Aziz.

Jamal Suleiman had previously excelled in "Al-Fusool Al-Arba'a" as the lawyer "Adel," who the family resorts to for resolving their issues. The first part of this work was released in 1999, and after achieving great success, a new part was produced in 2002. "Al-Fusool Al-Arba'a" is considered one of the most important and prominent Arab series that have achieved significant success since its initial airing and still enjoys wide popularity, continuing to attract many viewers during its reruns.

The series tells the story of a Syrian family, outlining their daily lives, family relationships, and some issues through connected but separate episodes, including guest stars from notable artists in both parts.

It is noteworthy that Jamal Suleiman's last works include starring in the second part of the series "Al-Haramlek," and also the second part of "Afrah Iblis." Additionally, he participated in the Ramadan 2019 series "Zay Al-Shams," for which he received several awards, including an honor from the Open Arab University in Cairo.
