Festival singers Omar Kamal and Hamo Bika are preparing for their first acting experience together in the film "Dek El Ayyat."
The festival singers will share the screen with a selection of acting talents including Rehab El Gamal, Basem Samra, Sahar El Sayaghi, and Nidal El Shafey. The work is written and directed by Wael El Roumi. Kamal plays a character from Upper Egypt and is also training on the Saidi dialect, confirming that he has prepared for this film by joining an acting workshop to perform his scenes perfectly.
Kamal is considered one of the key protagonists in the film, which addresses a revenge issue between two families due to a conflict arising from a "rooster" attacking a "hen," leading to ongoing disputes throughout the story.
In another context, Omar Kamal is also preparing to perform a song for the film "El Shanta," after contracting with producer Safwat Ghatass and Tamer Abdel Moneim. Recording of the song is expected to take place in the coming days so that it is ready for release alongside the film, which is set to hit theaters in the upcoming season.
It is noteworthy that "El Shanta" is written by Tamer Abdel Moneim, directed by Ahmed El Badri, and features an ensemble cast including Bayoumi Fouad, Sherine, Dana Halabi, Sherif El Desouki, Mohamed Abdel Azim, and many others.
