This draft will be based on the idea of "rehabilitating the caretaker government and introducing some ministerial amendments that include several names and portfolios based on the results of the consultations Mikati will hold with the relevant political forces."
The Sunni "coverage" from Dar al-Fatwa regarding Mikati's reappointment to form the government has caught attention, as Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan received him, and they went together to perform Friday prayers in Downtown Beirut. Deryan expressed firm positions regarding the rights of the Sunni community in the national structure, emphasizing that "no one can marginalize Sunni Muslims in Lebanon or take away any of their rights." He reassured that "the Sunni community in Lebanon is fine despite all the successive crises they face, and their role, status, and constitutional position in the parliamentary council, government, and presidency in the Lebanese state will remain," as stated in "Nidaa al-Watan."
