# Death of a Prominent Houthi Leader in Clashes in Western Yemen

Prominent Houthi leader Abu al-Karar al-Nahari was killed on Sunday by the joint forces in the western coastal area of Yemen during clashes south of Al-Hudaydah governorate. The joint forces' media reported from sources that the prominent Houthi leader al-Nahari was killed during confrontations when the joint forces repelled an attack launched by Houthi militias on the al-Fazah and al-Jabaliyah areas of the Al-Tahita district. Sources confirmed that al-Nahari was killed along with a group of Houthi members who attempted to assault the positions of the joint forces in al-Fazah and al-Jabaliyah. Al-Nahari is considered one of the most notable leaders within the Houthi militia's so-called Rapid Reaction and Reserve Forces.

Additionally, the al-Jabaliyah front in western Yemen experienced clashes for the second consecutive day due to escalating violations by the Houthi militia. The joint forces' media reported that reconnaissance units detected movements by the Iran-aligned militia, which was reinforced by units from Al-Zubayd. These movements were promptly dealt with successfully. It was confirmed that the units stationed from the joint forces to secure the lives of citizens in the al-Jabaliyah and al-Fazah areas of Al-Tahita district engaged in battles with the Houthi militias using various medium and heavy weapons that lasted approximately two hours, ending with severe lessons for the militias, similar to previous confrontations.
