As tensions rise in the waters of the Arabian Gulf due to the U.S. military presence, Iran successfully launched long-range missiles during maneuvers that began on Wednesday in the Sea of Oman.
Iranian state television reported that a number of missiles, including long-range missiles, were launched simultaneously and successfully during the drills. The maneuvers are being conducted from the "Konarak" area in the southeastern province of Baluchistan and will last for two days, utilizing the warships "Makran" and "Zarreh," which are equipped with missile launch platforms.
Last week, drone maneuvers were held with the participation of the four branches of the Iranian army in the Semnan public area in northeastern Iran, near the border regions. The Iranian army employed hundreds of drones of various types, including "Mohajer," "Ababil," "Kaman-12," "Arash," "Kian," "Pelican," "Simorgh," "Saeqeh," "Hazem," and "Yasir."
Additionally, the second phase of naval maneuvers by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps took place near the port of Assaluyeh in Gulf waters last Thursday. The Iranian news agency reported that the "Basij forces in the naval wing of the Revolutionary Guard carried out a display with the participation of 700 boats in Gulf waters in commemoration of the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, with the presence of the Guard's commander Major General Hossein Salami and the commander of the naval forces, Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri."
