Syrian artist Slava Maamar expressed her deep hatred for social media, considering that artists have become cheap commodities in it, often willingly.
In an interview with a Syrian radio station, Maamar stated that those who engage with these platforms should have specific goals, especially artists and celebrities. She criticized some of her colleagues for sharing too many photos, asserting that the number of followers does not mean one artist is better than another.
The Syrian actress mentioned that the idea of retiring from the acting profession sometimes crosses her mind, especially when she feels lonely and depressed, and finds herself unable to achieve her goals. Regarding her opinion on entering a new relationship after her separation from artist Saif Al-Din Al-Sebaei, she indicated that this decision is difficult when children are involved. She confirmed that her daughter "Dahab" is what prevents her from marrying again, along with the difficulty of accepting a new person in her life after a period of emotional solitude.
It is worth noting that Slava Maamar's latest work is the second season of the series "Al-Haramlek," which was written by Suleiman Abdul Aziz and directed by Tamer Ishaq, featuring a star-studded cast including Basel Al-Yakhour, Samer Al-Masri, Qais Sheikh Najib, and Safa Sultan, and aired during the Ramadan season of 2020.
