The Al Hamra Port in Ras Al Khaimah witnessed yesterday the launch of the first unit of the floating resort project "Neptune," which is the world's first environmentally friendly floating and movable house. This project was initiated by the Emirati company "C-Gate Ship Yard," which specializes in ship and yacht manufacturing. The units will be transported from Ras Al Khaimah to Dubai by sea to settle in Jumeirah, Dubai.
During a press conference, the CEO of "C-Gate Ship Yard," Mohamed Al-Bahrawi, stated that the project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023 and aims to revolutionize the tourism and hospitality sector in Dubai with its unprecedented features and high level of luxury. The floating and movable house consists of two floors, a terrace, and a deck that contains a glass pool, with each floor measuring 300 square meters, totaling 900 square meters.
The first floor includes four bedrooms with their bathrooms, leading to a ground floor that features a spacious glass floor providing residents with a stunning view. The ground floor also includes a kitchen, a living room, and two additional rooms for staff, along with the terrace.
He explained that this project is a significant addition to Dubai's real estate portfolio, which is filled with unprecedented achievements that reflect the evolution of contemporary lifestyle and the real estate market in the UAE, attracting international tourism as the project is set to create a leap in the tourism sector.
He added that the choice of Dubai as the project’s center was influenced by several reasons, primarily that Dubai is one of the most important investment and tourism destinations in the world. The emirate is known for its unique commercial climate with places that encourage tourism and investment, in addition to a flexible economy, integrated legislative environment, and strong, efficient infrastructure.
Emirati businesswoman and Chairwoman of "C-Gate Ship Yard," Alia Al-Suwaidi, emphasized the important role that investors, both citizens and residents, play in the project. She added that the project units feature a unique design modeled after a glass boat that can safely move from one location to another using hydraulic engines resistant to wave movements. Each unit is equipped with a self-sterilization and air filtration system, as well as an intelligent automated system that operates the entire house, which complies with all international safety standards. Additionally, it operates on solar energy and advanced technologies for treating sewage and purifying air.
It is noteworthy that the first unit of the "Neptune" project was sold during a ceremony held at the Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa in October 2020 for a value of 20 million AED to businessman Philander Sahani, making him the first buyer in this unique project.
