Bayern Munich Visits Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga

The "Commerzbank Arena" hosts the match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich as part of the 22nd round of the Bundesliga for the current 2020-2021 football season.

Bayern Munich aims to regain victories after drawing with Arminia Bielefeld in the previous round, seeking to strengthen its lead in the Bundesliga table, relying on its Polish star Robert Lewandowski, who is the top scorer with 25 goals. Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt has achieved victory in its last four matches and won eight out of ten fixtures, remaining unbeaten in the last ten rounds, relying on its Portuguese star André Silva, who is second in the scoring chart with 18 goals, and Serbian forward Luka Jovic, who is on loan from Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich will miss star Thomas Muller and defender Benjamin Pavard due to COVID-19, and Frenchman Corentin Tolisso due to injury. However, the trio of Javi Martinez, Leon Goretzka, and Jerome Boateng return to the squad. The Bayern coach said at the press conference: "We play football for these matches; Freddy Bobic and Adi Hütter are doing an amazing job, they have a fantastic team that has developed impressively, they play in a tough manner and press well."

Hans added, "I think Boateng will be present, along with Martinez and Goretzka. Boateng has been training with us, and the other two joined us yesterday; we will train today, and I do not expect any issues, so they are in my plans." Regarding Corentin Tolisso’s injury, he commented: "I spoke with him this morning; he has undergone surgery. It's a serious injury on the front of his left thigh, a tendon tear."

It is worth mentioning that Bayern Munich is currently at the top of the Bundesliga table with 49 points, five points ahead of second-placed Leipzig, while Eintracht Frankfurt is in third place with 39 points. The match today is scheduled for 4:30 PM Mecca time and will be broadcast on Bein Sports HD5.
