Qatisha Clarifies: "I Am Registered on the Platform and Am 78 Years Old; I Am Not Responsible for Determining Vaccination Centers or Age Categories"

Qatisha Clarifies:

The media office of MP Wahbi Qatisha issued a statement to clarify the controversy regarding his vaccination at the Parliament.

The National News Agency reported that MP Wahbi Qatisha explained this evening what has been raised about his vaccination in the Parliament, revealing that he is registered on the official platform of the Ministry of Health under file number P29GIP since February 6, without knowing where he would receive the vaccine. Qatisha added that he received a call yesterday at ten o'clock informing him that his turn for the vaccine would be tomorrow in the Parliament, believing that the Ministry of Health had established a vaccination center at the Parliament in coordination with the Speaker of the Parliament, possibly for various reasons, one of which could be security-related. He confirmed that he received the vaccine the following day, noting that he is 78 years old and that he is not responsible for determining vaccination centers or for defining age or health categories.

In a related context, the administration of Saint George University Hospital issued a statement emphasizing its commitment to the principles of rapid vaccination for the elderly and the responsible use of the vaccination center, ensuring that the number of vaccinations does not fall below 500 per day. The hospital requested that those who registered on the Ministry of Health's platform and have not received a text message to schedule an appointment contact them for assistance. A total of 3,304 people have called so far, which is a large number, prompting the hospital to stop taking new calls while awaiting a rapid mechanism to be developed with the Ministry of Health to expedite the vaccination process.
