In sad news that struck the artistic community today, Saturday, the wife of the late famous artist Khaled Saleh passed away, she was the mother of artist Ahmed Khaled Saleh and the mother-in-law of artist Hanadi Hani Muhanna, due to complications related to COVID-19. Egyptian actor Ahmed Khaled Saleh mourned his mother, Dr. Hala Zain, writing on his Instagram account: "She who I honored the most has left me. Pray for her steadfastness during questioning, mercy, forgiveness, paradise, and the intercession of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. Pray for us to have patience and solace. The funeral prayer will be held at the Amr Ibn Al-As Mosque following the Dhuhr prayer. Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return."
This announcement followed a post by Egyptian artist Khaled El-Sawy, who reported the death of Khaled Saleh's wife due to COVID-19. He mourned her with the words: "There is no god but Allah. Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return. We say nothing but what pleases Allah. Today, I lost a sister, mother, friend, and lifelong companion, the dear deceased, God willing, Dr. Hala Zain, wife of my late brother, the late star Khaled Saleh, and mother of Ahmed Khaled Saleh and mother-in-law of Hanadi Hani Muhanna. We shared a journey of loyalty, support, and dedication since university."
Her son had posted a picture with his mother a week ago, praying: "O Allah, dress her in the garment of health and wellness, protect her with Your ever-watchful eye. O Allah, heal my mother with healing that leaves no illness behind. O Allah, guide her and grant her recovery, and heal all our patients quickly. O Most Merciful of the merciful, may prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions. Your prayers are requested. May God comfort us for every dear one and help us get through this period safely, O Lord." It is worth noting that COVID-19 has claimed many lives in the artistic community recently, including the late artist Ragaa El Gedawy and actor Youssef Shaaban.
