After Signing Donnarumma: 9 Goalkeepers at Paris Saint-Germain

While the coaching staff at Paris Saint-Germain is pleased with the addition of the outstanding Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, the best player of "Euro 2020" will certainly increase the goalkeeper crisis for the French capital team. Before signing Donnarumma, the team already had 8 goalkeepers, which now makes a total of 9, presenting a significant burden on the coaching staff that seeks to get rid of most of them, especially amid a slow transfer market and modest player prices due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Many PSG goalkeepers were loaned out last season but have returned after their contracts ended, and it is essential that at least half of them depart now.

- **Gianluigi Donnarumma (22 years)**: The latest signing for the club, he could become PSG's number one in the coming years after signing a 5-year contract.

- **Keylor Navas (34 years)**: The veteran Costa Rican goalkeeper is now considering his options, as it will be difficult for him to maintain his starting position with Donnarumma's arrival, especially with a contract lasting for the next three seasons.

- **Alphonse Areola (28 years)**: After two seasons on loan at Real Madrid and then Fulham, Areola has returned to Paris, questioning what his role will be next season, with expectations that he may go out on loan again.

- **Sergio Rico (27 years)**: Rico initially joined on loan from Sevilla and then signed a permanent deal with PSG in the summer of 2020 for four years; however, his time in the French capital may already be coming to an end.

- **Marcin Bułka (21 years)**: The Polish goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Cartagena and then at LB Châteauroux in Spain and the French second division, and is likely to leave soon either on loan or through a transfer.

- **Garisson Innocent (21 years)**: The Paris Saint-Germain youth academy graduate was loaned to Caen last season to gain experience, but he only participated in 4 matches.

- **Alexander Letellier (30 years)**: Letellier joined PSG last summer to be the third goalkeeper and fulfilled this role but did not play a single minute, with his contract ending at the end of next season.

- **Lucas Lavallée (18 years)**: After leaving Lille's youth academy, Lavallée signed a 3-year contract to join PSG this summer but will be able to play in youth teams to gain experience.

- **Denis Franchi (18 years)**: Franchi joined PSG as a minor in 2019 before signing a professional contract last year, and he appeared in the first team's lineup a few times last season.
