It stated that an internal investigation is currently underway at the hospital where the surgery was performed to determine if any medical errors occurred during the operation. It confirmed that the surgeon who performed the operation is known for his competence, but the matter is under scrutiny to ensure everything is thoroughly reviewed. The majority of the doctors involved are categorized as visiting physicians rather than hospital staff, with the hospital's role focused on providing medical care.
It was also confirmed that this is the standard practice in all private hospitals, with committees in place across hospitals to verify the qualifications of visiting physicians for their accreditation within the hospital.
Actor Ahmed El Awadi, the husband of Yasmine Abdel Aziz, pledged in a post on his Facebook page to hold accountable those responsible for his wife's deteriorating health condition, using expressions like "neglect, carelessness, and laxity" to describe what occurred during the surgery.

A medical source familiar with Yasmine Abdel Aziz's health condition revealed the reason for her travel to Switzerland for further treatment, noting that she previously had a cesarean section there a decade ago.
The source added that her operation in Egypt was delicate and complicated due to a large blood clot on the ovary, which required surgical intervention instead of laparoscopic surgery, given her medical history. The source confirmed that she suffered some complications during the operation, leading to colon swelling, which resulted in a perforation and the leakage of its contents, followed by peritonitis.
The source explained that Yasmine Abdel Aziz's condition had stabilized in the hospital before her travel abroad, but she required a new surgery referred to as "bypass surgery" to restore her intestines to their natural pathway.
