Tottenham Defeats Manchester City in a Crazy Match

Tottenham Hotspur stunned their hosts Manchester City by winning 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, in a thrilling encounter during the 26th round of the Premier League. Tottenham's goals were scored by Dejan Kulusevski in the 4th minute and Harry Kane in the 59th and 95th minutes, while City’s goals came from Ilkay Gundogan in the 33rd minute and Riyad Mahrez in the 92nd minute. With this result, Tottenham raised their points to 39, placing them seventh, while City remained at 63 points on top of the table.

Tottenham opened the scoring early in the 4th minute when Heung-min Son broke free, but instead of shooting, he passed to Kulusevski, who easily scored into an empty net. City had their first chance in the 8th minute with Phil Foden's weak header from a cross, which was saved by Hugo Lloris. Silva then attempted a low shot from inside the box in the 15th minute that missed the target.

City almost equalized in the 17th minute when Joao Cancelo’s skill on the left flank resulted in a curling shot that went just wide. They continued to push for an equalizer, with a shot from Gundogan hitting the post in the 20th minute. Cancelo fired a powerful shot from the edge of the area in the 22nd minute, narrowly missing the goal as Lloris watched it pass by.

Tottenham returned to the attack in the 25th minute, with Royal's shot from outside the box going over the bar. Gundogan attempted a back-heeled shot inside the area in the 31st minute, but it missed the goal. City managed to equalize in the 33rd minute when Raheem Sterling's cross slipped through Lloris's hands, allowing Gundogan to score.

The first half ended in a 1-1 draw. At the start of the second half, Son charged towards the penalty area and fired a low shot in the 54th minute, which Ederson saved. Tottenham took the lead again in the 59th minute when Son crossed the ball into the area for the unmarked Kane, who scored easily.

Tottenham wasted a great opportunity for a third goal in the 64th minute when Son sent a brilliant through ball to Kane, who was denied by a great save from Ederson. Gundogan tried to equalize again in the 66th minute with a curling shot that Lloris brilliantly saved.

Kane added a third goal for Tottenham in the 74th minute, but a VAR check ruled it offside. City awakened again in the 76th minute with a powerful shot from Cancelo, which Lloris saved. Manchester City earned a penalty in the first minute of stoppage time for a handball against Cristian Romero, confirmed by VAR.

Mahrez successfully converted the penalty with a powerful shot to the roof of the net in the second minute of stoppage time. Tottenham shocked City by scoring a third goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time when Kulusevski crossed from the right, and Kane headed it into the net, ending the game with Tottenham winning 3-2.
