Tottenham's goals were scored by Dejan Kulusevski in the 4th minute and Harry Kane in the 59th and 95th minutes, while City’s goals came from Ilkay Gundogan in the 33rd minute and Riyad Mahrez in the 92nd minute. With this result, Tottenham raised their points to 39, placing them seventh, while City remained at 63 points on top of the table.
Tottenham opened the scoring early in the 4th minute when Heung-min Son broke free, but instead of shooting, he passed to Kulusevski, who easily scored into an empty net. City had their first chance in the 8th minute with Phil Foden's weak header from a cross, which was saved by Hugo Lloris. Silva then attempted a low shot from inside the box in the 15th minute that missed the target.
City almost equalized in the 17th minute when Joao Cancelo’s skill on the left flank resulted in a curling shot that went just wide. They continued to push for an equalizer, with a shot from Gundogan hitting the post in the 20th minute. Cancelo fired a powerful shot from the edge of the area in the 22nd minute, narrowly missing the goal as Lloris watched it pass by.
