5 Gold Medals for Dominic Aoun and His Sister Skyla in Wrestling Championship

Lebanese siblings in the diaspora, Dominic Aoun and his sister Skyla Aoun, achieved an honorable victory at the wrestling championship in South Africa 2022, once again elevating Lebanon's name in global sports competitions. Dominic Aoun (14 years old) and his sister Skyla Aoun (12 years old) competed in the South African National Championship held at Stellenbosch University. Dominic Aoun claimed three gold medals and one silver medal in the Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling categories, marking his fourth consecutive win at this South African championship. Skyla won two gold medals for the second consecutive year, being the South African champion in freestyle wrestling. In November, Dominic and his sister will travel to Abu Dhabi to represent Lebanon in the World Championship in Ju-Jutsu, with support and supervision from the Lebanese embassy in South Africa.
