Following the statement issued by the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Minister of Economy and Trade Amin Salam reiterates the illegality of charging Value Added Tax (VAT) in electricity generator bills. Accordingly, Salam requests that citizens refrain from paying it and warns generator owners that they will be referred to the financial public prosecutor if they issue bills that include VAT.
