A spokesperson for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Turkey has closed its airspace to flights to and from Sulaymaniyah in Iraq due to increased activity of the Kurdistan Workers' Party militants there. He added that the closure took effect on April 3rd and is expected to last until July 3rd.
