The German magazine "Haidelbraxiss" reported on a study conducted by a research team at the University of South Australia, which demonstrated a relationship between sleep disorders and increased risk factors for type 2 diabetes. The analysis of data from the study, which involved over 1,000 participants, revealed a strong correlation between sleep disturbances and diabetes, as well as the connection between sleep quality and cardiovascular health. Researchers noted that sleep disorders are accompanied by metabolic issues, increased body mass index, obesity, elevated cholesterol levels, and inflammation in the blood. Sleep quality is determined by both adequate hours of sleep and the depth of sleep.
