Russian Equipment to Egypt for Building the First Nuclear Power Plant

Alexander Kurchagin, the First Deputy Director of "Atomstroyexport" for nuclear power plant construction projects, revealed details about the construction of Egypt's first nuclear power plant. Kurchagin stated, according to "Russia Today": "Currently, construction and installation work is underway in all four units. The foundation slab for the first and second units is being poured. Today, the first concrete was poured for the third unit, and we expect to complete this work by the end of this year, and soon we will receive a permit for the fourth unit. It is worth noting that within this year, we are already supplying the main technological equipment, with the first of this equipment arriving three weeks ago, specifically the 'core catcher' for the first unit, which is to be installed this year."
