The spokesman for the General Directorate of Saudi Border Guard, Colonel Misfar Al-Quraini, stated that ground patrols of the Border Guard in the regions of Najran, Jazan, and Asir thwarted attempts to smuggle 62.5 tons of narcotic qat, 1.842 tons of hashish, and 692,106 pills subject to medical trading regulations. The perpetrators were arrested and are being interrogated to identify the organization behind them.
