Earthquake of 4.9 Magnitude Strikes New Caledonia Coast

A 4.9 magnitude earthquake struck today, Sunday, off the coast of New Caledonia in the South Pacific, with no reports of casualties or property damage so far. The U.S. Geological Survey identified the earthquake's center southeast of the "Loyalty" Islands, off the eastern coast of New Caledonia, at a depth of 138.8 kilometers.
