Iraq: We Demand Turkey to Apologize for Attacks on Sulaymaniyah Airport

The Iraqi Presidency expressed its condemnation today, Saturday, of the attacks on Sulaymaniyah International Airport, while urging the Turkish government to take responsibility and issue an official apology. In a statement, it affirmed that "there is no legal justification for Turkish forces to continue their approach of terrorizing peaceful civilians under the pretext of having opposing forces on Iraqi territory." The Silêmanî Airport Authority in Iraq announced yesterday evening, Friday, that an explosion occurred near the airport's outer wall, but it did not result in any injuries.
