Lavrov: Sudan Has the Right to Seek Assistance from the Wagner Group

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed during a press conference at the United Nations today that Sudan has the right to seek the services of the private security group Wagner. Sudan has been witnessing a bloody power struggle between the military forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces since April 15. Lavrov also noted the stalled efforts to revive the nuclear agreement reached with Iran in 2015, following a brutal crackdown on protesters in Iran.
