Warning Step: Pharmacies Close Their Doors!

The head of the Pharmacists' Syndicate, Joe Salloum, indicated that "the reason behind the pharmacies' decision to close their doors this morning is the inability to continue and secure medications for patients and milk for children due to the halt in medication deliveries for over four days, in addition to the presence of smuggled and counterfeit drugs flooding the markets and threatening citizens' lives." Salloum, in a conversation with "Voice of Lebanon," pointed out that the issue of medication delivery is not new, as there has been a rationing of supplies for a long time. He emphasized that the situation cannot continue as it is, as the country is collapsing, and so is the healthcare sector. Our outcry is the outcry of all citizens. Salloum called for the delivery of medications to pharmacies, urging officials to develop plans to secure drugs for patients and to elect a president for the republic to restore constitutional order in the country, thus launching a rescue effort and finding a comprehensive solution that begins with the pharmaceutical sector.
