The U.S. Geological Survey announced that a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit the Yunnan province in southwestern China. According to the agency's data, the earthquake occurred 34 kilometers from the city of Baoshan, which has a population of 935,600. There have been no reports of injuries or damages.
