Monthly Fee for Verified Accounts on Twitter

Elon Musk, the new owner of the Twitter platform, announced a monthly fee of $8 for verified accounts, as he seeks to increase subscriptions and make the social network less reliant on advertising. Musk wrote in a tweet from his account, "The current lords and peasants system on Twitter for those who have or don’t have a blue checkmark is nonsense," adding, "Power to the people! Blue for $8 a month," noting that the price will be adjusted according to the purchasing power in each country.
