The Russian news agency "TASS" reported, citing Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, that "UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Otto Pedersen will participate in talks regarding the future of Syria in Astana." Bogdanov noted that representatives from neighboring countries, Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan, will also participate in the talks. Deputy foreign ministers from Russia, Syria, Turkey, and Iran will meet in the capital of Kazakhstan tomorrow, Wednesday.
