Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov announced that he discussed the turmoil in Russia in a phone call with his American counterpart on Sunday, describing the Russian authorities as "weak" and noting that things are "going in the right direction." In a brief summary of the call with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Reznikov stated that they also talked about Ukraine's counteroffensive and steps to strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces. Reznikov wrote on Twitter: "We see that the Russian authorities are (becoming) weak and that the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine is the best option for the Kremlin."
