European Observatory: Banks Take Depositors Hostage

The statement stressed that "discussing the restructuring of deposits is dangerous," calling on banks to "implement the law on lifting banking secrecy and to respond to judicial requests to provide documents in the context of investigations into suspected money laundering operations."
