Sudanese health authorities reported that "17 people, including five children, were killed in an airstrike south of the capital Khartoum on Saturday." The health department in the capital stated in a post on its Facebook page: "The Yarmouk area in the Mayu district south of the belt was subjected to an airstrike, resulting in a number of civilian casualties." It added: "Initial estimates of the Yarmouk massacre indicate that 17 people were killed, including 5 children, women, and senior citizens, and 25 homes were destroyed."
