Local media reported that a man was taken to a Tokyo hospital unconscious after setting himself on fire near Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's office. Various media outlets, including Asahi TV and Yomiuri Shimbun, stated that the man indicated his opposition to plans for an official state funeral for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was assassinated. The police and the Prime Minister's office declined to comment on the reports.
