Burnley was promoted back to the Premier League in April after just one season in the lower league, finishing first in the Championship. The couple expressed their desire to enhance Burnley's international presence and contribute to community service.
In a statement, they said, "When you invest in a club that has been around since 1882, you must respect its history and traditions. We know we are not just investing in the team and the coach, but we are investing in the city and its people."
Chairman Alan Pace stated that the couple will enhance the club's sporting success and help attract an international audience. The financial details of the investment were not disclosed.
